A count on a page is a copy of an offline aggregate, not a query against the live table.

Why
A previous host failed when pages issued live counts. BrokerMafia keeps aggregates in brokermafia.stats under the key index, and copies that payload to /data/stats.json.
Two numbers are both real and not equal: 303,303 database rows in the materialised stats, and 285,691 unique firm pages in the public index. Hubs can sum higher than either because one firm can sit in two verticals.

Quote the firm-page count for a hub, and label the database total as registry rows. Do not add them together.
