Rules
FMCSA entities collapse on docket and USDOT. SEC and FINRA rows merge when the normalized name hits an existing broker-dealer and a CRD or file number agrees. CFTC FCMs that are already SEC broker-dealers fold onto that row instead of creating a second profile.
A dba is stored when the extract has one. Search may find it. The H1 stays the legal name.
