How it works

Search → filter → compare → verify on the source register

1

Search

Type a firm, license ID, or broker category — results rank across public registries.

2

Filter

Narrow by country, state, source, and category chips without leaving the page.

3

Compare

Check up to four firms, then open side-by-side licenses and coverage.

4

Verify

Open the profile and confirm IDs on the regulator or registry that published them.

What BrokerMafia indexes

A public-registry broker index — not a ratings board

BrokerMafia is a multi-vertical search and comparison engine for broker desks. We ingest public regulatory extracts and attributed directory sitemaps, then publish navigable hubs with source badges, license fields when published, and offline firm counts. Operators use it to find a desk type, shortlist firms, and verify identifiers before contact.

We cover transport & logistics (including FMCSA property brokers and carriers, FMC OTI, CBP filers), finance & markets (securities, FX, crypto/CASP, prop directories), lending & credit, insurance & risk, real estate & business sales, energy & commodities, marine/aviation/heavy assets, and specialty intermediaries. Coverage follows what public sources publish — gaps are honest, not ranking signals.

What we refuse: fake star ratings, invented review counts, paid “top broker” badges on profiles, and thin doorway pages that repeat the same stub across thousands of URLs.

How to verify a broker

Index presence is not a license confirmation

  1. Match the legal name on the profile to contracts, invoices, and payment instructions.
  2. Re-check license IDs (MC, USDOT, OTI, filer codes, CRD, MSB, state licenses) on the issuing register named in the source badge — not on screenshots.
  3. Confirm product scope — the corridor, asset class, or line of business you need must fit the firm’s authority.
  4. Prefer written terms for fees and disputes. Treat absolute promises (“guaranteed returns”, “risk-free”) as red flags.

How search and compare work

Ranked results, facets, side-by-side fields

Search accepts firm names, license IDs, cities, and category keywords. Facets narrow by category group, broker category type, and matching silos. Results are ranked for navigation across public registries — not sold placements.

Compare lets you pin two to four firms and view license and coverage fields from public filings side by side. We do not invent composite “trust scores.” When a field is blank in the source, you see —.

Category hubs such as Transport & logistics and Finance & markets explain desk types and link only to verticals that already have indexed firms.

Provenance disclaimer

Public filings change; always re-check the register

Data comes from public regulatory sources including FMCSA Motus/Company Census, FMC OTI, CBP Filer Code List, SEC active broker-dealers, ESMA MiCA CASP register, NYDFS Virtual Currency list, Texas TREC and TDI extracts, PUCT electric brokers, FinCEN MSB registrants, state real-estate commissions, and public prop-firm directory sitemaps (names/slugs only where noted).

BrokerMafia is an index layer — not a regulator. Totals on this page are precomputed offline. We do not provide legal, financial, insurance, or investment advice. See Privacy (including advertising cookies) and Terms.
