What does a category search page show?
Brokers tagged to that category, facet filters, and Matching broker categories from the taxonomy with offline firm counts. Use it as the Category step in Home → Category → Broker category → Firm → Compare.
Why do some broker categories show zero firms?
The taxonomy lists planned or thin desks so the customer journey stays complete. Zero means no indexed firm yet for that slug — not a hidden inventory.
How do I verify a broker from search?
Open the profile, read the source badge and jurisdiction fields, then confirm with the issuing authority. Directory presence is not an endorsement.
Does BrokerMafia recommend or license firms?
No. We preserve the distinction between indexed, listed in a public source, licensed, and recommended. Licensing is decided by the source authority.
How current are the counts?
Counts are offline build-time values refreshed when ingest and refresh_stats() run. They are not live aggregates.
